We're in America - The Israeli/Jewish publication

We Are in America, a magazine started by former Israelis living in the L.A. Area, delivers entertaining, practical information to Jewish Israelis living in America. We began publication in August 2006 and have been steadily increasing our readership ever since. We are the only monthly American magazine written in Hebrew.

The most remarkable thing about people who have lived in Israel is the unique bond felt with one another, regardless of our birthplace. We Are in America seeks to foster that bond, with bright full-color pages, engaging articles and news about local events.

Our articles cover a broad array of topics including, but not limited to, community events, health, politics, nutrition, cars and psychology. We feature advice columns from specialists such as Rabbis, doctors, lawyers and even a couples therapist!

From Passion to Publication

We Are in America was founded to create a united community, bringing together Jewish Israelis, both newcomers and the established, who make their home in the US.

The magazine we set out to launch was one with glossy, colorful pages and informative content. We envisioned an eclectic mix of articles that had something for everyone.

We are members of this community from various backgrounds (real estate, banking, and theater, just to name a few) who want to make a difference and connect American Israelis. Our magazine was born from our passion about the vibrant Jewish Israeli culture here in America, not because we aspired to be writers and publishers.

Where can you find us?

Our magazine is distributed in numerous locations in Southern California throughout Los Angeles and San Fernando Valley, as well as Orange, San Diego and Ventura Counties, and Las Vegas, NV.

We reach such a widespread audience because our magazine is FREE. Its available at many street magazine stands throughout West Los Angeles and San Fernando Valley, and at a variety of retail establishments including markets, bookstores and Israeli, Middle Eastern and Mediterranean restaurants. Additionally, magazines are located in libraries, lawyers offices and medical clinics.

We Are in America raises awareness about local and international Israeli, Jewish and cultural issues to 150,000 readers per month (both in print and online). We also reach over 10,000 subscribers through our bi-monthly email, which contains our digital magazine and information about community events (if youd like to be added, email info@weinamerica.com). The magazine serves as an open forum and virtual meeting place for the 500,000 Jewish Israelis residing in the greater Los Angeles area, in addition to readers in the Southwest and East Coast.

What sets us apart?
We Are in America is not a part of a big publishing company. We are an independent group pouring all of our energy into one common purpose.

We feel that other publications available in the US already cover news from Israel on a weekly basis. We strive to connect former Israelis of all backgrounds by providing a FREE publication in Hebrew about life here in America, from the community itself.

Do we support any charitable causes?
Yes! With our strong commitment to community, we are proud to support Stand By Me, an organization that provides much-needed aid to cancer patients. We also support several events throughout the year, including the Israel Film Festival and the Big Jewish Tent celebrations.
